I finally gave in and tried that power stretcher with the auto-adjust knob
For like 5 years I swore by my old manual power stretcher. Thought the new ones with the auto knob were just a gimmick to separate guys from their money. Then I borrowed my buddy's on a big living room job in the suburbs last month. That thing saved me at least 20 minutes of adjusting and re-adjusting on a single room. Has anyone else made the switch and actually noticed a difference in their knees by the end of the day?

Yeah you mentioning the knee thing really hit me... I mean I didn't think my knees were that bad until I started using one of those new auto knobs. Last spring I was doing a hallway that was like 50 feet long and by the end my right knee was just done. Switched to the auto knob setup my brother left at my house and honestly my knees felt way better the next morning. Not perfect or anything but that constant lock and release on the old ones just grinds you down over a whole day.

Oh man, that knee thing is so real lol. @blair_chen81 I feel you on that hallway job, but actually the auto knob doesn't really adjust the tension for your knees directly - what it does is let you dial in the stretch without having to crank it manually over and over. So the knee savings come from not contorting yourself to reach the crank handle every two seconds, not from any cushioning or support. I noticed it most on a long stretch in a basement where I was crawling back and forth - my knees still ached but my hip didn't feel like it was popping out of place from the weird angles.

Read a blog post saying the auto knob saves your shoulders more than your knees.
