I'm lost on why some carpets bubble up after a few months
I mean, I followed all the steps for stretching and securing, but I've had two jobs where the carpet started to ripple. Idk if it's the humidity or maybe the padding I used. Maybe it's the way the subfloor was prepped, but I checked it and it seemed fine. It's just frustrating when you think you did everything right, and then you get a call back.

Tighten your power stretcher more.

Wadesullivan's sarcasm is so thick you could lay carpet over it.

Oh perfect, just what my project needed, @lee.noah. I was staring at this loose carpet for three hours and it never once crossed my mind to maybe turn the handle. You have truly opened my eyes to the secrets of the tool. All my problems are now solved forever, thanks to this single, simple instruction. Guess I'll just toss out my entire toolkit now.

Honestly, lee.noah is spot on. Tbh, I spent a whole weekend fighting with a wrinkle in my living room carpet because I was too scared to crank the stretcher harder. After seeing @wadesullivan's post, I finally gave it an extra turn and heard that satisfying click. The carpet laid flat instantly, no more bunching up near the wall. I felt like such a fool for not trying it sooner. Just needed that push from you guys.
