That seam roller trick from a guy in Ohio saved my back today
Installed a 12x15 living room in a split level and the seams kept puckering on the pad. A retired guy named Dave who used to do commercial work told me last month to roll the seam twice, once hard and once light, with a 3 inch gap between passes. I tried it today after fighting two failed attempts with the power stretcher and it laid flat as glass. He also said to use a 2 pound roller, not the 5 pound one, which I thought was nuts but he was right. The whole room took me 4 hours versus my usual 6 because I wasn't redoing seams. Has anyone else gotten a random tip from an old timer that just clicked?
