Update: I thought that new carpet cutter from the trade show was just hype
I saw it demoed at the convention in Charlotte last month and figured it was another overpriced gadget. The guy said it could handle a full 12-foot roll without needing a second cut, which sounded impossible. I tried it on a big glue-down job this week and it actually made a clean line on the first pass, no jagged edges. Anyone else tried one of these and have tips for keeping the blade sharp longer?

Yeah, I was totally wrong about that thing too.

Happens to the best of us. I've doubled down on being wrong more times than I can count. The real trick is just admitting it like this. Makes everything way easier.

Man, this reminds me of the time I argued for a solid hour that pickles were a vegetable. My buddy had to pull up the definition of a fruit to shut me down. I still tried to claim culinary tradition made them a veggie. The worst part is I knew I was wrong like ten minutes in.
