Vent: The hotel carpet in Miami had seams you could trip over

I mean, it was a high end place but the install was sloppy as heck. Maybe it's just me but seeing that on vacation just bugs me, like come on guys.

No way! At a high end spot? That's wild. I'm picturing those lumpy seams that catch your toe, or worse, actual gaps you can see the padding through. For the money you pay there, you expect someone to at least run a knee kicker over it properly. It just kills the whole luxury feel when the basics are botched.

Their idea of luxury must be tripping hazards.

Totally agree with what @matthew371 said about the knee kicker. That's a basic fix they clearly skipped. When you see a bad seam, it just makes you wonder what else they cut corners on, like maybe the plumbing or the AC. It stops feeling like a nice escape and starts feeling like a place that doesn't care about the details. For the price they charge, getting the floor right is pretty much the bare minimum. That kind of sloppy work just ruins the whole vibe they're trying to sell you.
