PSA: My kid's $29 "brain booster" game is just a free app with a $29 box, and I found the exact same thing on the app store
Bought this thing at Target in Naperville last month because the box said "doctor approved" and had a little chart showing kids gain 40% in focus. My son played it for 20 minutes, then got bored and handed it back. So I did what any cheap dad does and searched the game name. Same exact game, same characters, free on the app store. The only difference is a plastic stand and a card deck that tells you to "play together for 15 minutes a day." That's the entire product. Twenty nine bucks for a stand and a deck of cards telling me to talk to my own kid. I get it, I should have looked it up first. But has anyone else run into this with these "educational" toys? Because I want to know which ones are actually worth it before the holidays hit.
