That 'expert' on a podcast told me to drop $1,200 on a mastermind, and my buddy's free advice did way more for my side hustle
Six months back I was stuck at around $400 a month selling handmade candles at the flea market in Mesa. Some guy on a business podcast kept saying you need a 'high level container' to grow, and he was pushing his $1,200 mastermind with a straight face. I almost put it on a credit card, but my buddy Ray who flips bikes out of his garage told me to save my money and just raise my prices by two bucks and stop giving away free samples to everyone who walked by. I did exactly that. Two months later I'm clearing $900 a month with the same amount of wax. Turns out the 'container' was just a fancy word for a group chat where the guy posts motivational quotes and upsells a $500 course. I watched one of his free webinars last week and he spent 40 minutes on his origin story then dropped a 'limited time' link for a coaching call. It's the same playbook every single time with these guys. Anyone else get burned by a paid group that just recycled free info?

Used to buy into that mindset till I saw the same recycled advice for free.
