Caught a celeb's apology with shaky eye contact and it bugged me all day

I was at the dentist last Tuesday scrolling through YouTube when I saw a singer's apology for trashing a hotel room, and she kept looking to the side like she was reading a script. The whole thing felt so fake because her voice cracked but her eyes stayed dry, and it made me wonder if anyone actually buys these rehearsed apologies. Do you think there's a tell that always gives away when a celeb is lying in these videos?

@the_oliver did you see that video of the actor who just stared blankly for five seconds then gave up?

Same here, I can barely make eye contact with my cat when I'm lying about why her dinner is five minutes late, so I'm hardly one to judge. But yeah, that dry eye thing is a dead giveaway every time.
