My mom called out a celebrity apology video I totally fell for

I was telling my mom about that singer's crying apology for the ticket mess, and she pointed out how he never actually said what he did wrong, just talked about being sorry. That hit different because she's usually not into this stuff, but she saw through it in 10 seconds. Anyone else have a family member who spots the fake ones way faster than you do?

That breathing too loud thing made me laugh, but seriously, do you think we're just used to people being fake so our brains just accept it? Or is it something else about how they're trained to do those apologies?

Wait, did your mom just become my new lie detector? (I could use one, honestly, my brain still falls for those puppy dog eyes in the apology videos.) I'm pretty sure I'd believe a celebrity if they said they were sorry for breathing too loud, I'm that gullible.
