Saw a D-list actor's 'apology' at a gas station in Tuscaloosa and it was pure theater

I was filling up at a Shell off I-20 yesterday and this guy from that old teen drama was filming his apology video right by the air pump. He did like 14 takes, each one with a different sad face, and between takes he was laughing with his buddy about the 'crocodile tears' bit. Dude even made his assistant bring him a latte to look more upset, which is so fake. If he'd just said sorry once without the crew and the props, I'd believe him more. Has anyone else seen a star doing this nonsense out in the wild, or is it just my bad luck?
