That Logan Paul apology video from 2018 - does anyone actually buy the second one?

I remember watching his first video about the Japan forest and thinking wow this is terrible. Then the second one came out where he sat in that room alone with no music. My friend swears he saw real tears but I just see a guy who got caught. What was the tell for you all that proved it was fake or real? I keep going back and forth.

I saw this breakdown on YouTube where a body language guy went frame by frame through both videos. He pointed out how in the second one Logan keeps looking down at his lap for long pauses which apparently is a sign of rehearsing lines, not real grief. Plus the fact that he changed his shirt between cuts but the lighting stayed exactly the same made it super obvious to me. My buddy in media says they probably shot like 20 takes of that crying part until they got one that looked passable. The whole thing felt like damage control from start to finish.

Oh, did your buddy also catch the part where his eyes were bone dry during the whole "crying" bit? I remember watching that first apology video and thinking the same thing - the dude was reading off a script on his phone and could barely fake a sniffle. It's wild how these YouTube breakdowns just point out stuff we all kind of felt anyway, isn't it? And @the_alice is totally right, trying to fake cry twenty times sounds like the worst improv class ever, but these guys have whole teams of people helping them pull it off. Honestly, the shirt change thing was the real giveaway for me too, like who edits a raw emotional apology and doesn't even try to keep their outfit consistent?

Twenty takes of crying is twenty more than I can pull off without laughing.
