I was scrolling through the celeb apology sub last week and saw this one actress, no idea who she really is, apologizing for some old tweets. The thing that got me was she blinked exactly 40 seconds in, right after she mentioned her 'team'. I timed it twice because I thought I was tripping. So I looked up that study about fake crying detection, the one from UCLA that says real tears show up within 15 seconds of the emotion starting. That stat stuck with me because it basically proves she was acting, not apologizing. Has anyone else tried timing these videos and noticed the same pattern?

Wait, is everyone else just supposed to ignore that timing can reveal intent better than words? I used to think any apology was better than none, no matter when it came, but seeing her post the crocodile tears right after getting caught, before anyone even called her out, kinda flipped my switch. Like, if it was real, wouldn't she have waited to hear the other side first, or at least talked to the person she hurt privately? Now I'm reading everything she says with a side-eye, wondering if it's just damage control. So yeah, I'm with you on this one, timing tells the truth even when the words are polished.
