TIL a 45 second face wipe is the new tell for fake celebrity apologies

Saw a D-list reality star's tearful video about her DUI last Tuesday and counted the sniffles, she hit 4 in under a minute but never actually touched her eyes. Has anyone else started timing these things or am I overthinking the whole performance?

Is the real tell not the wipe but the timing of it, since a genuine cry makes you touch your eyes when they sting, not on a set beat? A real person's face is a mess, they sniffle and swipe whenever the snot hits, but these performers always deliver the wipe at the exact same moment in their script. If you want a better test, watch their hands during the actual apology words, because the fake ones keep their palms flat and still, like they're scared of smudging their makeup.
