Vent: My buddy swore Sabrina Carpenter's apology was fake, so I counted her blink rate for 4 minutes
He kept saying you can always tell when it's staged, so we pulled up her April video and watched it frame by frame on my laptop in the kitchen. I counted 41 blinks in the first 2 minutes, way more than her normal rate, and she looked down 9 separate times right before mentioning the people she hurt. My friend says that proves she was lying, but I think looking down is what people do when they actually feel bad. Does anyone here track stuff like this, or am I just overthinking a 4 minute video?
Counting blinks is wild. Reminds me of when my sister tried to catch her ex lying by watching his eyes during a phone call, and she was dead wrong about the whole thing. People look down when they're embarrassed too, not just when they're lying.
