Warning: the 'sincere' apology from that indie singer took me 3 hours to fact check
Last week a musician I used to follow posted a 4 minute apology video about stealing song credits. She cried, she paused, she mentioned therapy. I got curious and started fact checking her timeline against old tour interviews. Took me 3 hours across 5 different archives to see she had claimed the exact same story in 2019, word for word. The key tell was she said 'I take full responsibility' but never named the person she wronged. That's a classic dodge. Has anyone else found that apology videos without a specific victim are almost always fake?

My friend checked one, the guy blamed "the industry" and never said the other singer's name. Total fake.
