Lost $60 on a 'verified insider' leak that was total fan fiction

I paid $60 to some guy on Telegram who claimed he had proof about a big breakup announcement, and it was literally just a fanfic someone wrote on Reddit. The couple is still together, they posted a vacation pic the next day. Has anyone else been burned by these paid gossip sources or is there actually one that's reliable?

Man, I used to be the exact opposite of you. I figured anyone charging money for leaks had to have some real access, otherwise why would they risk the scam backlash, right? Then I dropped $40 on a "verified insider" who turned out to be some dude copy-pasting blind item forums. Never again. These Telegram gatekeepers are just selling you the thrill of feeling in the loop, and the second you call them out, they block you and move to a new burner account. There's no such thing as a reliable paid gossip source, just cheaper ways to learn that most "leaks" are just creative writing with a login screen.
