Showerthought: That one intern's offhand comment at a red carpet event totally exposed a fake feud
Back in 2019 I was working the sidelines at a movie premiere in LA, just watching the chaos, when this intern from a major network leaned over and whispered that the whole 'feud' between two A-list actresses was cooked up by their publicists to keep them trending. He pointed at them doing a fake hug for the cameras and said 'see, they planned that pose three days ago in a group chat.' I couldn't stop thinking about it, because I'd seen them throw subtle shade in interviews for months. Turned out he was right, they're actually friends and just split the social media buzz for their new movies. Has anyone else had a random behind-the-scenes person spell out a gossip thing like that?

Whoa, I once heard a studio janitor casually confirm that a huge celebrity breakup was just a contract thing.

@the_sean always listen to the janitors, they know EVERYTHING. Keep that name out of your mouth.

Oh man, I don't know. People say stuff like that all the time but how do you really know if it's true? I mean, janitors hear gossip just like anyone else, they're not getting briefed by the PR teams or anything. Half the time these "confirmations" are just someone repeating what they heard from some assistant's cousin.
