That time I tested a blind item about a singer's 'secret' tour rider

I read this blind item on a gossip board about a country singer demanding only purple M&Ms and a specific brand of bottled water. Out of curiosity, I called a venue I knew they played at in Nashville back in 2019 and asked a buddy who worked the show. He laughed and said the purple M&Ms thing was total fiction, but the water request was just for bulk cases of store brand, nothing fancy. Learned that most of those wild rider stories are just made up for clicks and half the stuff online is exaggerated.

Nashville was where I first heard it too from a guy who worked backstage. Crazy how stuff like that just sticks around.
