Vent: That blind item about the A-lister's secret baby felt way too specific to be fake

I read this blind item on a gossip board this morning about a male actor (hint: he's in a major superhero franchise) allegedly paying hush money for a kid born in 2022 in Vancouver. The details about the recording studio location and the exact dollar amount - $47,000 a month - just seemed too concrete to be made up by some random poster. Am I the only one who thinks these super-specific blinds usually end up being the real scoop?

Man, those specific numbers always make you wonder.

@simon_carr people love to read into random numbers like they mean something deeper. Most of the time it's just coincidence or our brains trying to make patterns out of nothing. I've seen enough of these posts to know nobody ever follows up with actual proof or a real story behind it. It feels more like internet creepypasta than anything worth getting worked up about. Probably just a glitch or someone messing with the data. Not really that serious when you step back and think about it.

Was reading about this the other day, @simon_carr, and yeah it gets way overblown online.
