Shoutout to the $12 probe thermometer a line cook in Dallas pushed on me
Worked a grill station for 6 years and always went by touch on chicken. A cook next to me kept saying get the cheap probe, I waved him off for months. One busy Friday I temped a thigh at 145 and had to refire a whole tray. Bought the $12 one the next day and it has not left my apron since. Anybody else got a cheap tool that beat out years of habit?
