Why does nobody talk about a $15 sharpening stone beating a $70 electric sharpener

Ran both on my workhorse 8 inch chef knife last week at the shop and the cheap stone got it shaving sharp in 6 minutes while the electric one left a burr I had to fix by hand, so has anyone found an electric model that actually finishes the edge right?
