Appreciation post: That new clerk at the Daley Center who actually pointed me to the right courtroom the first time

After three hours of bouncing between floors last month on a landlord-tenant filing, that one clear direction saved me from missing a deadline and a $200 late fee, anyone else have a courthouse hero story?

Oh yeah, the lady at the water department on LaSalle walked me through a messed-up water bill in like five minutes after I'd been on hold for an hour at home. Felt like winning the lottery.

Is it really that serious though? I mean a messed up bill is annoying but lotto winning? Bit much. They just did their job, right? Finally someone picked up and helped. That doesn't mean she walked on water. Maybe people just need to call during business hours instead of on hold for an hour. It sounds like a normal interaction to me, not some miracle.
