Dropped $350 on a Chicago traffic lawyer and still got the max fine
I got a ticket for rolling through a stop sign on Western Ave back in April and figured hiring a lawyer would get it tossed. Paid some guy $350 up front, he showed up to court once, and the judge still hit me with the full $250 fine plus court costs. A friend told me later I could've just taken the defensive driving class online for $75 and gotten it off my record. Has anyone here actually had luck fighting a ticket in Cook County without a lawyer?
