Man, that one line thing totally gets me. Like how many other people signed that same paper without anyone there to point at it for them? And half the time those lines are buried in the middle of page 14 in tiny font that basically says they can raise your rent whenever they feel like it. The real eye opener is how leases are written by lawyers for landlords, not for the person actually living there. Makes you wonder what else you agreed to without even knowing it.
