My landlord kept my $900 deposit over a nail hole and I'm losing it
Moved out of my Logan Square studio last month, patched up the wall myself with spackle, but they charged me for repainting the whole unit anyway. I tried disputing it through the tenants' rights hotline but they said I needed photos from move-in day which I never took. Has anyone actually won one of these deposit fights in Chicago, or do they just steamroll you every time?

Take photos of every wall the second you move in next time, it's the only way to beat these scams.
