Creosote flake fell into my eye at a job in Bangor, now I wear sealed goggles on every flue brush
Was brushing a 6 inch flue on a 1920s colonial near Bangor, Maine 3 months back and a chunk of glaze creosote broke loose right as I looked up. Burned for hours, urgent care flushed it and sent me home with drops. Now I keep two pairs of sealed goggles in the truck and refuse to pull a brush without them. Anyone else here had a close call on a hot flue that changed how you gear up?
