It's wild how many new housing developments are basically copy-paste houses. I bet the builders save a ton using the same handful of floorplans over and over, but it turns entire blocks into a maze of lookalikes. Makes your quick look check into a total lifesaver, not just for chimneys but for street numbers buried in bushes or the one house that painted their door a different color. That sameness is probably why food delivery and emergency services hate those neighborhoods too.

The new development near my house uses the same three floorplans on every block. I almost drove to the wrong place yesterday because they all look identical! @emmay67, you're so right about how confusing that sameness gets for everyone.

Oh man, my buddy Dave once spent TWENTY minutes circling a block like that because every house looked the same. He finally knocked on a door to ask for directions, and it turned out he was on the wrong street entirely. Can you imagine how messed up that is for pizza delivery or if an ambulance needed to find someone fast? Those copy-paste neighborhoods are a REAL headache for everyone living there or just trying to visit.
