Everyone keeps calling that "$100 million lottery winner" video clickbait but I think it's legit
I watched the whole thing and they actually showed the guy's bank statement with the deposit date and amount. Has anyone else actually bothered to fact check before calling it fake?

Oh man this whole thing reminds me of when my cousin tried to pull a fast one on his landlord with a fake pay stub. He spent like two hours in photoshop getting the font just right and the numbers to line up. Landlord didn't even blink at it. But then he got caught because the bank logo was slightly off color and the font on the account numbers was a different size. These scammers are getting better but they always slip up on something little like that. I bet that lottery video is the same way, looks good at first glance but the details will tell the real story if you know what to look for.

Bank statements can be faked in five minutes with any photo editor though.

Not to get too technical but there are ways to check. PDF metadata often shows when it was last saved or what software was used. I've also seen people ask for a screenshot of the statement inside the actual banking app instead of a downloaded file. That's a lot harder to fake on the spot. Your mileage may vary but in my experience if someone hesitates to do that it's a red flag. Also things like transaction dates and running balances being slightly off can give it away if you look close enough.
