Got roasted for my "$500 saved" graphic on a penny-pinching video last month

I posted a thumbnail with a big red arrow pointing to a jar of coins that supposedly showed $500 saved in a month, but someone in the comments pointed out the jar only had like $30 in it max. They called me out for making the font huge to hide the small amount, and I realized they were right - I was totally exaggerating the savings for clicks. Has anyone else had a viewer catch you on a misleading detail in your thumbnail that you didn't think twice about?

Yeah I used to think faking it was fine but getting called out sucks.

Had a similar thing happen with a "huge declutter" video I posted. The thumbnail showed a mountain of stuff I got rid of, but someone zoomed in and counted like 12 items. Learned my lesson to just keep it real, people will call you out way faster than you think. How'd you handle the backlash on that one?

Doesn't it feel like people are getting better at spotting fake stuff everywhere now, not just online? I've noticed it in real life too, like when someone says they're "super organized" but you see their car looks like a laundry basket exploded.
