I used to believe every "doctors hate this one trick" thumbnail until I counted how many my mom clicked in a month
My mom lives in Fresno and I checked her tablet history over Thanksgiving. She clicked 14 of those "one weird trick" thumbnails in 30 days, and every single one was just an ad for a $39 supplement. Now I screenshot the thumbnail first and reverse image search it before I believe anything. Does anyone else have a family member who falls for these, and how do you explain it without sounding like a jerk?
