Rant: That 45 minute 'documentary' about a 3 second clip made me question my whole feed

I was scrolling last night and saw a video with a thumbnail of a guy looking shocked over some blurry UFO footage. The title said 'THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING' and it had 2 million views. I clicked it, and it was 45 minutes of the guy repeating the same 3 second clip, zooming in and adding red circles, but zero actual info. My buddy Dave from work said 'bro, you know half these channels just farm outrage for ad money, right?' and that hit different because I realized I've been wasting like 2 hours a week on these fake breakdowns. Why do we keep rewarding this garbage with views instead of just reporting the channel for misleading tags? Has anyone else had that moment where you finally see the trick behind a big channel's whole game?
