Hot take: battery-powered lawn tools from 3 years ago are already obsolete
Pulled my old electric mower out last week after storing it in the shed near Portland, and the battery wouldn't hold a charge for more than 15 minutes. Has anyone else had their older gear just crap out way faster than expected?

My buddy paid $600 for a top-tier Ego setup in 2021 and last month both batteries just died during the same yard session, so I totally get the frustration. But honestly, if you treat the batteries right and store them inside during the winter, my 2018 Ryobi set still runs a full hour.

Wait you said your buddy's Ego batteries both died same session, do they charge back up at all or are they completely toast?
