Last Tuesday our whole block cut 40% of our power use in one day

Our street in Madison did a little experiment where 12 households agreed to shift laundry, dishwashing, and EV charging to after 9pm for a single day. I checked the city utility dashboard and our block dropped from around 28 kWh average down to 17 kWh. What made it stand out was seeing the numbers in real time, it made everyone feel like we actually did something together. Has anyone else tried a one day neighborhood challenge like this and seen a real drop?
