My neighbor totally changed how I think about lawn care

So my neighbor Dave, who's like 70, saw me out with my gas leaf blower last Saturday and just said "you know that thing puts out more emissions than my truck right?" At first I thought he was joking, but I looked it up and yeah, those 2-stroke engines are awful. A half hour of leaf blowing equals like 100 miles of driving a car. It hit different because I consider myself pretty eco-conscious, I recycle everything, drive a hybrid, but I never thought about my yard tools. Now I'm looking into an electric blower for next season, but I'm worried about battery life for my yard which is like a quarter acre. Anyone else had this realization about gas yard equipment? What did you switch to?

@kimw57 my quarter acre takes one battery for blowing. Felix isn't wrong though, the 2-stroke thing is a bigger deal than people realize.

@felixm29 same thing happened to me last fall with my old mower. Which blower did you end up going with and how does the battery hold up? I have a quarter acre too and I’m nervous about running out of power halfway through.
