My old car finally died and I had to pick between a used gas truck for work or a hybrid sedan
I got the hybrid, and even though I was worried about hauling tools, I just rent a small trailer for $50 a day when I need it. It's cut my fuel bill in half and I feel way less guilty idling in traffic. Has anyone else made a switch that seemed tough for their job but worked out for the climate?

Wow, my buddy was in the same spot with his landscaping business. He went electric for his daily van and kept one old truck for heavy loads. His fuel savings paid for the truck insurance in like six months.

Shoot, I used to think the electric stuff was just greenwashing, but hearing the gas savings actually cover real bills changes my mind completely. Makes me want to run the numbers on my own setup now.

Fuel savings paid for the truck insurance" is my kind of math, @flores.emma.

Hold up, is the insurance on that old truck really that cheap? I feel like people forget about the electric vehicle's payment itself. Unless that thing was basically free, those fuel savings are just going to the car loan instead.
