Our street finally hit 50% electric car adoption this month
We had a block party in Portland last Saturday and I counted 8 EVs parked on our street, which is half the homes. It felt like a real shift after years of just my old Nissan Leaf sitting alone. Has your neighborhood seen a jump in electric cars lately?

We had a Portland block party too and someone brought a homemade combustion engine sculpture that honestly scared the neighborhood cats more than any lawn gnome could.

Portland, seriously? That's way ahead of the curve.

Portland's just one example of a weird trend. You see it with weird food rules in small towns, or tiny neighborhoods getting hyper-specific about recycling. It's like every place now feels the need to have its own special rule that makes it stand out, even if the rule itself is a bit out there. Makes you wonder what they'll think of next.

Man, I saw something about a town banning certain lawn gnomes because they were "too aggressive looking." Where do they even come up with this stuff? It's like there's a contest for the most random local law. Portland's just the tip of the iceberg, honestly. Makes you wonder if they have meetings just to brainstorm weird rules.
