Overheard my neighbor say she stopped buying bottled water and that got me thinking

She was telling someone at the mailbox that she saved $45 a month just using a $30 filter jug instead. That's over $500 a year for one small swap. Made me look at my own habits, like how I always grab takeout coffee in plastic cups. Started bringing a thermos to work last week and it's not as hard as I thought. Anyone else find a tiny switch like this that actually adds up quick?

My buddy used to live in a place where the tap water tasted like straight chlorine, so I get that. But for me, growing up we always had well water that was fine. When I moved to the city I just assumed it was all gross but honestly it's not bad here. The real game changer for me was buying a reusable thermos for coffee though. I was spending like $4 a day at the gas station and that adds up to over a hundred bucks a month easy. Now I just brew at home and pour it in my thermos and it stays hot for hours. The filter jug thing is smart too though, my sister does that and says her kettle never gets that crusty buildup anymore.

Tap water quality varies a lot depending on where you actually live.
