Started biking 2 miles to the grocery store in Portland 6 months ago, and my gas bill dropped $60 a month
I used to drive even for small trips, but now I just throw a backpack on and go. My neighbor asked why I bother when the store is so close anyway.

My buddy did the same thing last spring and he was shocked at how much he saved, but the funny part was he started noticing stuff he never saw from his car. Like this little taco cart two blocks over that he'd driven past for years without knowing it existed. He also lost like 15 pounds without even trying, just from the daily rides. His wife gives him a hard time about the backpack sweat but he says it's worth it.
