Switched my commute to biking for 3 weeks and my electric bill dropped $47
I figured it'd save a little gas money but I didn't expect the AC bill to go down that much since I'm not parking a hot car in the sun all day, has anyone else seen weird side savings from cutting car trips?

Dude that's a legit solid point about the AC. Never thought about how a hot car basically turns into a radiator next to your house. Honest to god, it's the small things that add up in ways you don't expect. Not having to sit in stop and go traffic has done wonders for my mood too, which is a weird side benefit nobody talks about. That 47 bucks is real money though, especially this time of year. Feels like you're beating the system a little bit, honestly.

lol yeah man the mood thing is so real. I didn't realize how much just the act of sitting in traffic was draining me until I didn't have to do it anymore. And the AC thing is spot on too. My neighbor parks his work truck right next to my unit and that thing just radiates heat all afternoon. The 47 bucks is no joke. That's like half a tank of gas for me right there. Feels good to actually keep that money instead of just burning it idling.

Wait the mood thing is actually huge. I never connected the dots between traffic rage and just feeling drained by the time I got home, it's wild how much that background stress messes with you. That's honestly worth way more than the $47 if you ask me.
