The town hall meeting in Boulder last month got me to finally insulate my attic
I went to a town hall in Boulder last month thinking it would just be a bunch of talk, but a guy from the county showed us a chart of how much heat leaks out of old houses. He said attics alone waste around 30 percent of home heat, and I looked at my wife because ours was built in 1978 and never touched. Two weeks later I had a crew blow in insulation and my gas bill dropped by $41 the first month. I keep wondering how much money I just burned for so long without knowing. Anyone else get pushed into a home upgrade by something they heard at a meeting instead of a sales pitch?
