DAE remember copying code by hand out of a library book in 2019?

Back in 2019 I was retyping Python examples from a dusty library book at the Austin public library, and one missing indent crashed my little guess-the-number game on loop for about 2 hours. Now I just copy from the docs, hit run, and read the error message like a normal person. What was the silliest thing you did as a beginner before you learned to just read the error text?
