How my first website looked 6 months ago vs. now is night and day
I started learning HTML and CSS back in January, and my first site was just black text on a white background with a blue link. Yesterday I rebuilt that same project for practice and used Flexbox and a media query to make it work on my phone. The difference came from following a Udemy course from Colt Steele that finally made CSS grid click for me. Has anyone else gone back to an old project and seen how far you've come?

I gotta say that "night and day" claim seems like a lot for a 6 month gap. You barely had time to forget what a div tag even does. My first site from back then still looks like a ransom note with the font sizes all wrong but calling it night and day feels like you watched one YouTube tutorial and now you're a whole new person. Nobody's first site was good, nobody's six month later site is that much better either. You probably just learned what margins are and got excited. It's cool you're seeing progress but let's not act like you just rebuilt Google with media queries and a little flexbox.

Oh come on, it's not that deep. Dude's excited about making his site not look like garbage, let him have his moment.

Ha! Dude, my first site looked like it was built in 1995 by someone who just discovered the color maroon. It had like, three different fonts on the same page and a background image that tiled so bad it gave you a headache just looking at it. Going back to it now is honestly a little embarrassing but also kinda cool to see how much I picked up. Flexbox was like a magic trick for me too, I remember trying to center a div for hours before I finally got it. Props for sticking with it, that first rebuild feeling is real.
