Pro tip: Don't buy those 'lifetime access' coding bootcamps on sale

I dropped $300 on a coding bootcamp deal last year. Thought I was being smart. It was one of those limited time offers. Get full access forever they said. Turns out the videos were from 2019. Old frameworks. Outdated practices. I spent two weeks following along before I realized half the stuff didn't even work anymore. The community forum was dead too. No one to ask questions. Should have just stuck with free tutorials on YouTube. Anybody else get burned by one of those flash sales?

Used to think those lifetime deals were a steal. After getting burned on a similar outdated course myself, I learned the hard way that technology moves way too fast for that scam. Free YouTube tutorials and a current subscription like Pluralsight or Frontend Masters are actually way more worth it.

Take it easy. A $300 mistake isn't the end of the world, just a lesson learned. You still got some exposure to coding concepts even with the outdated stuff. Plenty of people waste way more than that on a bad night out.
