Shoutout to the free coding workshop at the Denver library that made me stop trying to memorize everything
The instructor said 'just get it to work first, then make it pretty' and that single piece of advice saved me from quitting after my first 50 failed attempts at a simple calculator program.

Oh man, that advice would have saved me a solid week of staring at my own terrible code. I once spent three days trying to write a 'perfect' loop before I even ran it once. It did not work.

Ha, been there... but honestly, sometimes you gotta just run the broken loop first. Seeing it fail shows you exactly where it's messed up. I'd write the simplest, dumbest version that could possibly work, then fix it from there. Staring at perfect code in your head never works out.

Nah, I'm a stare-at-it-until-it-clicks person.
