Spent 6 hours debugging a missing curly brace in Python and it was the best learning day ever

I accidentally deleted one curly brace in a loop and spent the whole afternoon staring at the screen, but figuring out how indentation actually works in Python made it totally worth it - has anyone else had a frustrating bug that turned into a big lesson?

Wait, you spent 6 hours on one missing curly brace? That's brutal, honestly. I would've rage-quit after the first hour and blamed the computer for being out to get me. But I gotta respect the grind, figuring out indentation the hard way sticks with you forever.

Is it really that brutal though? Finding a missing curly brace in 6 hours sounds like a win if you were learning the language. You spend half that time just staring at the screen wondering why your code won't run, then the other half actually tracking it down. I'd argue that's what separates people who get it from people who don't. That feeling when you finally spot it, that's when you really learn how brackets work. Better than some tutorial that just tells you to add one.
