TIL a stranger on Stack Overflow taught me more than 3 paid courses

Back in 2017 I posted a dumb PHP loop question at 1am and this random user just replied with a 5 line fix and said "read the error message out loud, you'll hear the problem." That one tip stuck with me way more than any tutorial, and now I always tell newbies to try that first. Has anyone else had a random forum reply that clicked better than formal lessons?

Paid courses at least teach you something, random replies are just luck.

Wait, you really think paid courses are better than just asking around? Honestly I used to be on the other side too, but you kinda changed my mind here.
