Wasted $180 on a bootcamp course and learned more from free YouTube videos
I dropped $180 on a JavaScript bootcamp from one of those big name sites, and the instructor just read slides for 6 hours. Meanwhile, I found a free 2 hour crash course by some guy named Kyle in Austin that explained closures better than the whole paid module. Has anyone else coughed up cash for a course that turned out to be a total dud, or did I just pick the wrong one on Tuesday?

Did you actually go through the whole thing or just skim it? Honestly, a few bad hours of slides doesn't mean the whole course was trash, and free stuff works if you already know the basics.
