A buddy told me my comic collection was just "stuff in bags" and it stung until I realized he had a point.

I spent a whole weekend actually reading through my longboxes instead of just filing them away, and now I'm actually trading the duplicates instead of hoarding them like some dragon sitting on a pile of 90s foil covers.

It's wild how we do that with so many things, not just comics. Like I have a whole shelf of books I bought thinking I'd read them someday but really they're just decoration because I'm too scared to mess up the spine or whatever. Once you actually start using the stuff you own everything changes.
