A guy at a con in Chicago showed me how to bag comics without air bubbles
Went to a small comic convention in Chicago last spring. Middle of the floor, this older collector was re-bagging his pulls and he did this thing where he pressed the bag flat, then slid the comic in spine-first, and let the bag sort of zipper shut over the top. No puffing the bag open by blowing into it, which I always did. That always trapped air and made the bag bulge, which bugged me on the shelf. He said blowing in pushes micro dust too, and that can scratch the cover over time. I tried his way at home with a fresh pack of my usual bags and it worked clean, no bubbles, and they sit flatter in my long box. Am I the only one who never saw that trick, or do most people just not care about the air?
