Comparing old school Wednesday pull lists vs. digital subscriptions for indie books
I used to be all about my pull list at the shop near my route in Brighton. Felt loyal, you know? But after I missed issue 3 of a mini series three times because the shop just didn't order enough, I switched to digital subs for the smaller press stuff. Being able to just click and have it show up on my tablet that morning is way less stress. Has anyone else dropped their pull list for certain books just to avoid missing issues?

Did the exact same thing after a shop lost my pull list twice. Digital subs saved my sanity big time.

Oh man, @spencer_gonzalez1 you're totally right about the covers though! I used to feel the same way, like digital was just gonna be boring standard covers. But honestly, after I kept missing issues from smaller publishers because my shop never ordered enough, I finally caved and tried it. Now I kinda think the trade-off is worth it, I get the book on release day and I can always buy a variant cover later if I really want it. Plus, for indie books especially, just knowing I won't miss a chapter is a huge weight off my shoulders.

Shame nobody's talking about losing the random cool cover variants you get at a shop.
